Speakers

Frode L. Odegard is the CEO and Founder of the Post-Lean Institute and the Founder of the Post-Industrial Forum. His focus is on developing a new post-industrial management science. Frode studies how corporates, investors and policymakers can best navigate humanity’s transition to a post-industrial civilization and economy.

Frode is the author of a forthcoming book on the post-industrial transition and speaks to international corporate and investor audiences. His last keynote before the pandemic was in front of a PE audience with a total AUM of $4.3 trillion. The Post-Lean Institute provides educational, advisory, and strategic services to corporates and investors to help them turn disruption into opportunity.

A serial entrepreneur since his high school years, Frode’s multi-disciplinary background stretches from theoretical computer science to the boardroom. He has a deep background in organizational design and a passion for history, linguistics, disruptive technologies, and philosophy. When not at work, he is usually in the dojo practicing traditional Iwama style Aikido.

Nikolaos “Nick” Giannakakis is the CIO of Motor Oil (Hellas) SA, a $10B European energy business, where he leads the organization’s Digital Transformation. He brings deep insight into how enterprises can develop IT as a platform to foster innovation and new business creation, as well as how organizational structure can be used attract new innovation talent. Nikos is know for his ability to influence and work with relevant stakeholders at all levels due to his extensive experience in operational execution and business systems management. He is a strong advocate of the need for enterprises to have tech-savvy board members and senior executives.

Nikos has 15 years of international experience in the positions of Director and General Manager of Informatics in distinguished Multinational Corporations. His career spans enterprises such as British American Tobacco, Coca-Cola HBC, Richemont Int’l (Cartier, Montblanc, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget, etc.), and SAP. CIO Magazine listed Nikos as one of the top 100 Chief Information Officers worldwide for 2019. In an interview that year he cited the need to go beyond simply automating existing business function and using technology to dramatically simplifying businesses.

Nikos was born in the Western part of Greece. He holds a degree in Physics, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Systems Management and Administration. He is a graduate of the International Institute for Management Development – IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland).

Robert Massoudi is the Founder/CEO of Nu Axiom Business Transformation Advisory Group. Prior to founding Nu Axiom this summer, Rob was Group SVP and Global Head of Digital Transformation at ABB.

At ABB, Rob lead a team responsible for acceleration of the digital adoption with customers, ABB’s digital businesses, and incubation of strategic group-wide digital businesses. ABB (ABBN: SIX Swiss Ex) is a pioneering technology leader in electrification products, robotics and motion, industrial automation and power grids, servicing customers in utilities, industry and transport & infrastructure globally. The company operates in more than 100 countries with about 135,000 employees.

Rob joined ABB from SpaceTime Insight (acquired by Nokia in 2018) where he served as the Corporate Development Officer and MD for APAC. SpaceTime Insight was a Silicon Valley IoT and Machine Learning startup based providing predictive monitoring and optimization solutions for Asset Intensive Industries.

With over 30 years in information technology (hardware, systems, enterprise software, networking and communication products), Rob is an innovative executive and entrepreneur with experience ranging from founding startups to executive and operational management of global enterprises. His experience includes product development, technology and consciousness-led business transformation for the Fortune 500, general management, strategy, operations, partnerships, and corporate development. Rob’s career spans enterprises such as Amdahl, Sun Microsystems, Dell, Cisco, SpaceTime Insight, and ABB.

Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics, and is a published author. He has two children, and his hobbies include cooking, music, mindfulness-centered guiding, and archery. He is a certified master scuba diver. Rob is also in process of completing training as an expanded consciousness guide through School of Conscious Medicine. He has served on numerous technical advisory boards including Gramecysquare.com, CxNetworks, TransAria, and MCC:O2, NextAxiom, Allied Sports Ventures, and Voyage Automation.

Utpal Mangla is VP and Senior Partner at IBM Services. He leads IBM’s TME Industry Center of Competency focussing on Artificial Intelligence, IoT, 5G EDGE, Hybrid Cloud, Robotics and Blockchain Innovations for clients worldwide. In his role as a senior executive in the business with P&L responsibility and thought leader in emerging technologies, Utpal’s mission is to fuel growth by building, selling & implementing differentiated competitive market solution offerings. Under Utpal’s leadership, his team recently achieved company’s mission of making “Watson AI Impact 1 Billion Consumers”.

Utpal is also a Senior Partner at a Canadian Telecommunications company and runs multiple programs with team of 500+ practitioners spread across different countries. Utpal brings deep expertise focusing on Digital Transformation, Customer Insights, SAP, Data Analytics, Field Workforce Management, QA and Network data monetization.

Utpal is a regular speaker at industry forums, university leadership and business conferences globally, including GSMA MWC, THINK, TMForum, Salesforce Dreamforce, Cannes and CEM Telecoms. He is a regular contributor to white papers, industry blogs, external analyst reports, contributes to press and has multiple patents. Utpal is on the board of ATIS, committee member of SCTE and TMForum’s AI Advisory Board. He is also a member of IBM’s Industry Academy and 5G EDGE acceleration team.
